Bumper Stumper
A long while back, an evangelical friend and I were cynically discussing the proliferation of sappy Christian bumper stickers. Naturally we soon began trying to write our own Christian bumper stickers, just to see if it is possible to reduce theology to less than six words. I don't think anything we came up with was better than "John 3:16" on a rainbow background.
Since I haven't posted for awhile, and since Ernesto is taking the high intellectual road in his recent posts, I thought I'd toss a little fluff into the mix.
What (six word or less) Christian bumper sticker would you most be willing to put on your car? You can either mention one you've seen or write your own.

A couple of classes of these occur to me right off the bat -- the sort that allude to something (John 3:16, for instance) that rely on the viewer's knowledge of that thing. These are sort of triggers. Or expressions that could be complete in and of themselves. Or, and I think most would fall into this last category, expressions that seem capable of standing alone but whose real depth is in their allusion.
Here are a few that come to mind (I doubt they are original to me):
In the beginning was the Word
Be not afraid
I believe, help my unbelief
Maybe...
Got love?
Love One and love all... any questions?
Be all that you can be in Christ
Here's my somewhat oblique contribution, only two words and a blank to fill:
God is _______
Rather than go to the immediate (John 3:16) you can add something to makes folks look it up - such as John 3:17 (For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him)
Building on Ernesto's first one - you could also go
And the Word became flesh
I also like
Beat The Heat - Accept Christ Now
No God, no peace.
Know God, know peace.
(It's not mine, but I thought it was nice.)
"Put the fun back in FUNdamentalist"
I've been looking for this to no avail for a while now.
Hmmm... I hate bumper stickers. But at least I like this theme. Is "Got Grace?" out there already?
Not less than six words, but I saw this on a church mass schedule once, or something to this effect:
"Church is a hospital for sinners, not a museum for saints"
